Paddlers , be sure to have PFd , whistle and at least a magnetic compass with you during this event.
GPS with fresh charge would be good to have too. Be sure to get your course headings down before the start of the race. Safety boats will be around but , be prepared to run self contained.

There will be a boat shuttle available after the race for a few paddlers and thier boats . The Eastern Outrigger trailer will be at the finish. The trailer has a capacity of around 15 canoes or skis. If possible however , bring your own driver and have your vehicle and extra clothes waiting for you at the finish.

Will Arts and Tech is going to be the "official" photographer for the Maine Outrigger/ Surfski Championships. They do really high quality race photos for many sports events including the U.S. National Marathon Championships.
Contact them after the race to see the proofs. http://www.willarts.com/

Paddlers,

The course heading to follow once we round Cushing Island is 071 degrees magnetic. This course will take you to the channel between Cliff and Jewell Island. When you arrive at Jewell turn left to heading 053 and head straight to the finish line at the Dolphin Marina. http://www.dolphinchowderhouse.com/

For next year can you make the course a little more obnoxious for the support crews? A 45 minute drive to the finish? Good thinking!
